Born and raised in Portage, Michigan, Carson first started racing at the age of 7. Carson’s father, Scott, was a crew member and sponsor for various local teams. Due to these connections, Carson was able to work on race cars and learn the ins and outs of the industry. 

In 2024, Carson Hocevar began competing full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series. Before his full-time Cup career began, he qualified for the NASCAR playoffs in the Craftsman Truck Series in three consecutive seasons scoring five wins along the way. He made his NASCAR Cup Series debut at Worldwide Technology Raceway in June 2023. He has quickly established himself as a front-runner in the Cup Series each week, earning the nickname “Hurricane Hocevar,” he is known for his aggressive racing style. Hocevar has also developed a growing fanbase with his unique personality, interaction with fans, and social media presence.

He won his first NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway on April 26, 2026. His post-race celebration went viral and landed him on the TIME100 Most Influential People in Sports in 2026.
